First and formost I have a love of Sport. Over the years I have played or competed in the following Sports (with varying levels of averageness)! Football, Rugby, Cricket, Squash, Golf, Road and Cross Country Running, Orienteering and Cycling (Audax, Enduro mtb and time trials).

Sport has played an important part in my life. However age has taken its toll on my body. I can no longer run or play contact sports. I still Orienteer occassionally. I am a member of Harlequins Orienteering Club. I also ride a bike (nearly) daily.

My name is John Richards, I am a now freelance photographer from Herefordshire. I have my own (non sport)website at www.johnrichardsphotograhy.co.uk I have had a lifelong interest in Photography. Over 30 years ago I had my own darkroom setup at home. In 2007 I completed an Open University photographic course (T189). I am now in the second year of a two year course with the BFP School of Photography.

I am now concentrating on the sporting side of my photography. I have had a number of photographs published. uksportpictures.com is the next step.
